Earthquake strikes Alaska

A 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck Alaska on Thursday afternoon.

The USGS reported the earthquake occurred at a depth of about 2.5 miles.

Though a 4.1 magnitude earthquake is relatively moderate on the Richter scale, a quake of this size is often felt and can cause small damage.

So far, 30 people have reported feeling the quake to the USGS.
